Devon Anderson, of DPA LIGHTING, would like to thank the Bruels, and Ravenhill Construction, for including him in this project’s execution!  It’s been an absolutely amazing effort by everyone, and all with the common cause of “going GREEN“!  LED lighting has played a HUGE role on this job in accomplishing the goals set by everyone involved.  And it’s been my pleasure to help design, specify, and execute the lighting needs in order to accomplish those goals.
I’d like to thank some key players in the LED world:  (1)  Firefly Lighting’s Randy Croson who is the local representative for the following products on the job (TECH LIGHTING & LED SOLUTIONS).  These products are playing a huge role inside and out! (2)  Harvco Sales who is the representative for the following products on the job (Danalite & Juno Lighting).  (3)  And Seatac Lighting who is the local representative for the following products (CREE LIGHTING).
LED Lighting
has truly “evolved” and grown in quality, duration, dimmability, and application since the start of this project…and it continues it’s evolution daily!  If you need, or desire, a GREEN home application, or would like assistance in this matter, contact Devon Anderson (425-344-1249) of DPA LIGHTING and make an appointment for such discussion!  Thanks again for allowing us the opportunity to partake in this amazing project!  Cheers!

LED Lighting

Glen Bruels (homeowner): In 2003 and 2004, we vacationed on Nukubati, a tiny island in Fiji (only 12 guests at a time) with strong ties to New Zealand. The maintenance guy there told us to put our money in LEDs! Then in 2006 we spent a year in Australia, where everybody had already switched to CFLs because their electric rates were so high. That’s where we first saw LEDs on sale for home use, at a green show put on by the Alternative Technology Association, and we thought they were very cool. When we came back from Australia to our house in Colorado, we switched all our bulbs to CFLs, but had lots of problems with color temperature, etc. We were excited that LEDs had become readily available by the time we started the Natural Balance House so we could use them for 100% of our lighting.
